'Fear and faith'

January 30, 2018

One of my favorite small oil painting that was painted as an exercise during my art studies under the guidance of the artist Tsuriel Sodomy - one of the pioneers of the JSS graduates.

This painting depicts the stairwell of the building where I lived in my childhood in the eighties - King David Street in Rosh Ha'ayin, Israel.
The darkness under the stairs against the light above them, Fear against faith, despair against hope.

My childhood neighborhood ,the place where dreams and fears were woven together.
